Jacqueline Gabelhouse, Team Lead

MSc, B.Sc. (Kin), ACSM  Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist, CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist

Jacqueline Gabelhouse graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan in 2000 and finished her Masters of Science in Health Promotion at UBCO in 2016. She worked at Saskatoon Field House where her passion for Cardiovascular Risk Factor Reduction began. 

She returned to the Okanagan shortly after, and in 2003, she attained her Exercise Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine, the gold standard for Cardiac Rehab. She completed a Master's degree (UBC) in 2016 focusing on efficacy of traditional vs. hybrid models of CR. She continues to work with the COACH team and enjoys encouraging clients to make small changes with big cardiovascular benefits.  She is a mother of two and plans to be a healthy role model not only to her children but to the community.

Anne Pistawka, Health Educator

MRSc, BSc(PT) UBC, ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist, ACSM Exercise Physiologist

Anne has worked in a variety of clinical settings since graduating UBC Physical Therapy program in 1986 including spinal cord injury unit, ICU Vancouver General hospital, KGH hospital, and most recently at COACH since 2000. She has since earned her Exercise Specialist and Exercise Physiologist certification through the American College of Sports Medicine. In 2015, she completed her Masters degree in Rehabilitation (UBC), concentrating on improving access to CR in rural areas. Her current responsibilities at COACH include teaching education sessions, supervising exercise sessions, & assisting in program planning and administration.  Promoting a healthy lifestyle for participants and families is a primary goal for her at COACH.

Jenn Taylor, Case Manager

BHKIN, ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist, CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist

Jenn Taylor graduated with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia in 2003. Her passion for this area began during her practicum placement with the Healthy Heart Program at Vancouver General Hospital. Jenn began working with the COACH program in 2004, shortly after re-locating to Kelowna. She has since earned her Exercise Specialist certification through the American College of Sports Medicine. 
Jenn is a mother to two children, and believes in the importance of modelling a healthy lifestyle to her family, as well as the participants of COACH.


Jordelle Dupre, Referral Coordinator

ACSM & CSEP Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist, BCAK Registered Kinesiologist

Jordelle Dupre graduated from the University of Victoria in 2003 with her Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology.  After joining the COACH team in 2003, she earned her clinical certifications through the American College of Sports Medicine.  Away from work, Jordelle can be found enjoying the outdoors with her family and two young children.


Michelle Ungaro, Office Administrator


Michelle Ungaro is our office administrator coming to us after 14 years as the Human Resources Administrator at the Kelowna Zellers. She joined the COACH team in March 2008 after completing her Medical Office Assistant training at Okanagan College.  She loves to pass on her enjoyment of the outdoors to her family and the participants at COACH. Michelle always has a story to tell about a recent skiing or camping trip. Her friendly smile and upbeat personality welcomes everyone!

Terry-Lynn Kent, Registered Social Worker & Registered Clinical Counsellor


Terri-Lynn Kent is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who studied at the University of Calgary and achieved a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She has over 19 years of clinical experience in health care and private practice. Terri-Lynn has worked closely with individuals and families living with chronic illness, cancer, dementia, persistent pain, conflict, stress, loss, anxiety, depression, and marital separation. 

Terri-Lynn’s role at COACH is to help clients learn ways to be “stress aware”, to practice practical, concrete strategies to minimize the effects of stress and to connect with supportive resources in the community.  Terri-Lynn emphasizes the importance of you nurturing your own unique strengths, relationships, and goals towards creating a “new normal” for living with heart disease.

Cameron Bonell, Clinical Pharmacist

BSc(Pharm) ACPR RPh

Cameron graduated from the University of B.C. with a bachelors degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1993. He completed an accredited residency in hospital pharmacy at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster the following year - it was while working at Royal Columbian that Cameron developed a special interest in drug therapy for treating and preventing cardiovascular disease, his clinical areas of practice included the Coronary Care Unit and the Post Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit. Cameron has served as the coordinator for the UBC Continuing Pharmacy Professional Development (continuing education) for the Central Okanagan region since 1995 and he has a passion for pharmacist, inter-professional and patient education. Cameron has served on the board of directors for COACH since its inception, he works in the community at Lakeside Medicine Centre Pharmacy in Kelowna

Joelle Davidson, Registered Dietitian

Joelle is Registered Dietitian and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor at Intuition Dietitian Co. in Kelowna, BC. Joelle uses the intuitive eating framework and a weight-neutral approach to counsel on various medical conditions. These include prediabetes, high cholesterol, heart health, autoimmune diseases, fatty liver disease, among others. She applies evidence-based nutrition science in a way that can improve your health without the restrictions and potential mental health implications of a therapeutic diet.

Joelle also works with clients who want to build a healthy relationship with food. Using intuitive eating, Joelle helps clients who have dieted for years, experience disordered eating patterns, or are diagnosed with eating disorders to build more flexibility in their eating. Joelle’s training in intuitive eating can help you tune in to your body’s signals, honor your health, and make peace with food.

Dr. K.J. Pistawka, C.O.A.C.H. Medical Director

M.D., F.R.C.P.C.

Dr. Pistawka is a cardiologist and medical lead in Cardiology Education, Rehabilitation, and RACE clinic at the Kelowna General Hospital. He continues to be involved in medical research and Sports Cardiology BC. He completed his medical school at University of British Columbia (1986), and subsequently a rotating internship at Ottawa Civic Hospital. After 2 years working in New Zealand, he completed an Internal Medicine and Cardiology residency at University of British Columbia (1995). He has worked and lived in Kelowna since that time with his wife and four children. He enjoys being active especially at golf, hockey, all types of skiing, biking and volleyball league.

Dr. Jordan Webber, C.O.A.C.H., Medical Director

M.D., F.R.C.P.C.

Dr. Webber is a cardiologist at the Kelowna General Hospital. Originally from Calgary, he completed medical school at the University of Calgary, then Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Dalhousie University in Halifax. He then completed a clinical fellowship in Critical Care Cardiology at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton. He enjoys snowboarding, skiing, mountain biking and running, alongside his wife and their two children.
